Narrated By Abu Huraira : Allah’s(SWT) Apostle(PBUH) said, “One prayer in my(PBUH) Mosque is better than one thousand prayers in any other mosque excepting Al-Masjid-AI-Haram.”
Sahih Bukhari Hadith No: 1191
1 – Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer) [al-Jumu’ah 62:9]
2 – Making a lot of du’aa’. [al-Bukhaari, 893; Muslim, 852]
3 – Reading Soorat al-Kahf. [Saheeh al-Targheeb, 836]
4 – Sending a lot of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). [Abu Dawood, 1047]
The person who recites Surah Kahf on Fridays, a light will appear for him from below the throne as high as the skies. This light will help him in the darkness of the day of resurrection . And all the sins which he may have committed from the last Friday till this Friday will be forgiven . ” scholars say that only minor sins will be forgiven since major sins require repentance (taubah)
Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(al-Daarimi, Hadith 3407)
Hisham ibn Hakim رضي الله عنه passed by some people in Syria who had been made to stand in the sun and had oil poured over their heads. He asked: “What is this?” It was said: “They are being punished for not paying taxes.” So he said: Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say, “Allah will torture those who torture people in this world.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Number 6327]
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (33:59)
Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?” They said, “Not a trace of dirt would be left.” The Prophet added, “That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds.” (Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 1, Book 10, Hadith # 506)
Remember death, the destroyer of all earthly pleasures. A heart wrenching account of the final moments every soul must experience as they approach their ordained departure from this earthly existence. Taken from the original lecture, “Would That I Knew” which can be watched in it’s entirety from my page.
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “On wearing a new dress, a person should recite the following prayer, ‘Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi kasaanee maa uwaaree bihee auratee wa atajammalu bihee fee hayaatee.’
Whoever recites the above prayer at the time of putting on a new dress, Allah will keep him under His care and protection in this life and in the life Hereafter.” [Tirmidhi]
The meaning of this Dua is: “Praise be to Allah who clad me with that with which I cover my shame, and with which I adorn myself in my life.”
To memorize and use this Dua when donning a new dress, in exchange for Allah’s care and protection in this life and the next, is an excellent bargain. May we avail ourselves of it. Aameen.
“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both. Guard over that which benefits you, seek Allah’s Assistance, and don’t lend yourself to things devoid of benefit, and if something befalls you, then don’t say ‘If I only would have done such and such,’ rather say ‘Allâh ordained this and He does what He wills’ [Qaddarallaahu wa maa shaa’ fa’al] for verily the phrase ‘If I would have’ makes way for the work of the Devil.”
