Unfortunately we see too many people especially at universities who think they are have a God given right to look down on other people because they claim to be on the HAQ [truth]. This is highly prevalent in Islamic societies. Alhumdulilah not all of them are like that off course.

And indeed We created you, then designed you and then ordered the angels, “Prostrate before Adam”; so they all prostrated, except Iblis (Satan); he did not become of those who prostrate. [Al-‘A`rāf 7:11]
The Angel of the Mountains said, “O Muhammad, order what you wish. If you like, I will let the mountains fall on them.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “No, I hope that Allah will bring from their descendants people who will worship Allah alone without associating partners with Him.”
Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.
Surah An-Nisā’ (4:58)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) quoted God as saying: “My love is obliged to those who love each other for My sake, who sit with each other for My sake, who visit each other for My sake, and who give to each other generously for My sake.”
مَّا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ ۚ
“Whatever of good befalls you, it is from Allah; and whatever of ill befalls you, it is from yourself.”
And Why Shouldn’t The Likes Of Abdullah Ibn Umar RA Cry On Hearing A Hadis Of Rasulullah (PBUH)? Because He (PBUH) Himself Says: That The All Mighty Allah Is Saying: Majestic, Pride Is My Garment, Is My Robe. And Greatness, Bigness, Loftiness, Splendour, This Is My Garment And Whoever Competes With Me For Any One Of These Things Then I Will Not Look At Who He Is. I Will Throw Him In The Fire Of Hell, Why? He Is The All Mighty Allah, No God Has The Right To Be Worshipped But He, He Is The Knower Of The Seen And The Unseen, The Most Merciful, The Most Kind, He Is The All Mighty Allah, No God Has The Right To Be Worshipped Except Allah, He Is The King, The King Of All Kings, He Is The Pure, He Is The Holy, Free From Defects, He Is The Watcher Of Every Subjects, He Is The Giver Of Peace, He Is The Giver Of Security, He Is The All Mighty Allah, He Is The Compeller, He Is The Supreme, Glory Is To Allah, Allah Is High And Above All Those That Who Associate As Partners With Him, He Is The All Mighty Allah, He Is The Creator, He Is The Maker, He Is The Fashioner, He Is The Bestower, And The Giver Of Cause, To Allah Belongs The Beautiful Names And All Those Within The Heaven And The Earth, Glorify The All Mighty Allah And Recognise His Greatness, He Is The All Mighty And He Is The All Wise.
And those whose scales are light are the people who put themselves to ruin – the recompense of the injustice they used to do to Our signs.
[Aa`raf 7:9]
O you who have believed, if you fear Allah , He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
