The best of sinners….

The best of sinners….

The best of sinners…. are the ones who repent

By His mercy towards weak man,(the Most Merciful) Allah has opened the gate of repentance to him, and has commanded him to turn to Him, every time sin overwhelms him. Were it not for that, man would suffer a great deal of hardship and would not have the drive to draw closer to his Lord; he would lose all hope of His forgiveness and pardon. Repentance is something that is necessary as a result of man’s shortcomings and human failings.

Allah has enjoined repentance on all kinds of people in this Ummah: those who are foremost in good deeds, those who follow a middle course, and those who wrong their own selves by doing haraam things).

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful” [al-Noor 24:31]

“O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance!” [al-Tahreem 66:8]

And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for I repent one hundred times a day.” Narrated by Muslim, 2702 from the hadith of al-Agharr al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him).

Allah has bestowed His mercy and encompassed His slaves with his kindness. He is Forbearing and does not punish us or destroy us straightaway, rather He gives us respite, and He commanded His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to proclaim His generosity:

“Say: O ‘Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Zumar 39:53 – interpretation of the meaning].

And He says, out of kindness towards His slaves (interpretation of the meaning):

“Will they not turn with repentance to Allah and ask His forgiveness? For Al Khair laah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Maa’idah 5:74]

“And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death)” [Ta-Ha 20:82]

“And those who, when they have committed Faahishah (illegal sexual intercourse) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; — and none can forgive sins but Allah — and do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:135]

“And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Nisa’ 4:110]

Allah calls to repentance those who committed the gravest form of shirk and sin, those who say that ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) is the son of God – exalted be Allah far above what the wrongdoers say. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Will they not turn with repentance to Allah and ask His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Maa’idah 5:74]

And He opens the door of repentance to the hypocrites, who are worse than the kuffaar who openly show their kufr. Allaah says:

“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them.
146. Except those who repent (from hypocrisy), do righteous good deeds, hold fast to Allah, and purify their religion for Allah (by worshipping none but Allah, and do good for Allah’s sake only, not to show off), then they will be with the believers. And Allah will grant the believers a great reward”
[al-Nisa’ 4:145-146]

One of the attributes of the Lord is that He accepts repentance and rejoices over it by His grace. Allah says:

“And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do” [al-Shoora 42:25]

“Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His slaves and takes the Sadaqaat (alms, charity), and that Allah Alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful?” [al-Tawbah 9:104]

It was narrated that Abu Hamzah Anas ibn Maalik al-Ansaari (may Allah be pleased with him), the servant of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah rejoices more over the repentance of His slave than any one of you who finds his camel after having lost it in a desolate land.” Agreed upon.

According to a report narrated by Muslim (2747): “Allah rejoices more over the repentance of His slave than any one of you if he is on his camel in a desolate land, then it runs away from him and on it is his food and drink, and he despairs of finding it, so he goes to a tree and lies down in its shade, having despaired of finding his camel, then while he is like that, it suddenly appears in front of him and he takes hold of its reins and says, because of his intense joy, ‘O Allaah, You are my slave and I am your lord,’ making this mistake because of the intensity of his joy.”

Allah knows best.

Dhikr of Allah is the most excellent act. It is the most praiseworthy work to earn Allah’s pleasure. Prophet said that the People of Paradise will only regret one thing: not having made enough dhikr in the world!.

: “O Believers, make abundant mention of ALLAH!” (33:41). “He is successful who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord, and so prays.” (87:14-15). Prophet said, Peace be upon him: “The earth and everything in it is cursed, except for dhikr and what attends dhikr, and a teacher (of dhikr) and a student (of dhikr).”

By remembering Allah, truly satisfaction comes to the heart” (13:28). Prophet said: “(I am advising you in one thing:) Keep your tongue always moist with dhikrullah .”

Prophet said: “(I am advising you in one thing:) Keep your tongue always moist with dhikrullah .”

The Prophet once asked his companions: “Shall I tell you about the best of all deeds, the best act of piety in the eyes of your Lord, which will elevate your status in the Hereafter, and carries more virtue than the spending of gold and silver in theservice of Allah or taking part in jihad and slaying or being slain in the path of Allah? The dhikr of Allah.”

The Prophet was asked, “Which of the servants of Allah is best in rank before Allah on the Day of resurrection?” He said: “The ones who remember him much.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, what about the fighter in the way of Allah?” He answered: “Even if he strikes the unbelievers and mushrikin with his sword until it broke, and becomes red with their blood, truly those who do dhikr are better than him in rank.”

“Remember Me, and I shall remember you” (2:152). Prophet said that Allah has angels roaming the roads to find the people of dhikr.

Allah says: I am to my servant as he expects of Me, I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in his heart, I remember him to Myself, and if he remembers me in an assembly,I mention him in an assembly better than his…”

“Remember / mention Allah as much as you want, until people say that you are crazy and foolish”
“What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “The circles of dhikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of dhikr, and when they find them they surround them closely.”

“When any group of men remember Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him.”

“O you who believe! Celebrate the praises of Allah, and do so often; and glorify Him morning and evening.” (33:41-42).

the Prophet told him, “Let your tongue be always busy with the remembrance of Allah.”

“Those men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise. For them has Allah prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” (3:191, 33:35.

remembrance of Allah is the greatest thing in life, without doubt.” (29:45)
with the heart remember Allah, secretly from creation, wordlessly and speechlessly. That remembrance is best of all.

Allah will say: O my servant, I have something good of yours for which I alone will reward you, it is your hidden remembrance of Me.”

“Seven people will be shaded by Allah…” The seventh is: “A person who remembers Allah in seclusion (dhakara Allaha khaaliyan) and his eyes get flooded with tears.”
“Isolation is better than to be sociable in committing evil.”

Prophet said: “If anyone recites the last two verses of Surat al- Baqara at night (2:285-286), they will suffice for him.”
That is, these two verses will bring him a reward equivalent to that of a night prayer, and will safeguard him from any hurt during that night surat al-Ikhlas] is a third of the Qur’an.”

Prophet said: “Whoever says: la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharikalah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa `ala kulli shay’in qadir
— a hundred times a day will have a reward equivalent to the reward for freeing ten slaves. In addition, a hundred good deeds will be recorded for him and a hundred bad deeds of his will be wiped off, and it will be a safeguard for him from Satan that day until evening, and no one will be better in deeds than such a person except he who does more than that.”

“Whoever says: subhan Allah wa bi hamdihi — Glorified is Allah with all praise to Him — a hundred times during a day, will have all his sins wiped off even if they were as numerous as the foam on the surface of the sea.”

Prophet: “O human beings! Whoever says “No god except Allah” in astonishment at something, Allah creates from each letter of his utterance a tree with as many leaves as the days of this world, each leaf asking forgiveness for him and praising Allah on his behalf until the Day of judgment.”

So lets remember Allah without wasting even a second.

Allah knows the best.
